“Protecting Children’s Bodily Integrity and Human Rights”.

Research Details
Applications are invited for an LLM Research scholarship at Te Piringa Faculty of Law, University of Waikato.

The successful application for this scholarship will work alongside Professor Claire Breen on a Marsden-funded project titled “Protecting Children’s Bodily Integrity and Human Rights”. This research project takes an interdisciplinary approach to intersex human rights and healthcare.

The following students are especially encouraged to apply for this scholarship: students who are intersex or have a variation of sex characteristics; Māori students; Pacifica students.

Closing Date
30 September 2025.

Eligibility
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Law. A B+ GPA is expected.

Tenure
The scholarship provides $22,000 for a full-time research Master’s thesis year for up to 12 months during 2026.
