It's an exciting time for the University of Waikato and the greater Bay of Plenty region with the development of the Tauranga CBD tertiary campus. The new campus will be open in central Tauranga in 2019, with the University leading the development on behalf of the Bay of Plenty Tertiary Education Partnership. UOW hosts Tauranga Study Options Fair (5 March 2018)
On Friday 16 March, the University is hosting the Tauranga Study Options Fair to introduce our new Tauranga city campus, the academic programmes that will be offered and the student experience that will be unique to the beautiful Bay of Plenty.

Firm chosen to build tertiary campus in Tauranga (29 June 2017)
Hawkins Construction will be building the tertiary campus in Tauranga's CBD, starting in July.
New Tauranga CBD campus design concept confirmed (10 October 2016)
A proposed design concept for the tertiary campus development in Tauranga’s CBD has been approved by its three regional funders – Tauranga City Council, Bay of Plenty Regional Council, and Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust.

The Tauranga Energy Consumer Trust’s (TECT) decision to provide valuable funding to a planned tertiary campus in downtown Tauranga has been welcomed by the Bay of Plenty Tertiary Education Partnership.
