This paper explores cultural and ethical perspectives in computing and mathematical sciences. Students examine how Māori and other Indigenous perspectives, including concepts related to the Treaty of Waitangi, inform computing practice in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. The paper develops intercultural communication skills for working effectively in diverse teams and critically examines ethical issues arising from emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.
