You need a qualification and experience to become a biostatistician.
You need
- a bachelor's degree in mathematics and statistics, public health, epidemiology, biochemistry and cell biology, biological sciences or similar area
- experience in similar work
You may need
- a postgraduate certificate or diploma in mathematics and statistics, biological sciences, epidemiology or similar area
- a master's degree in mathematics and statistics, biological sciences, public health or similar area
If you're in school
You need NCEA Level 3 or University Entrance to do the study or training for this job.
