Test analysts

- analyse software tests to find problems
- document software issues
- fix software issues
- track success of software changes
- learn software coding languages
- research new tools and technology
- keep software up to date
How can you become a Test analyst?
You usually need a qualification to become a test analyst and experience may be useful.
You may need
- a New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology Essentials (Level 4)
- a bachelor's degree in information systems and technology, software engineering and computer science or similar area
- an International Software Testing Qualifications Board certificate
- experience in similar work
If you're in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
