This introductory paper provides the foundation for the Human Performance Science major within the Bachelor of Sport and Human Performance Science. Students are introduced to the key areas that underpin the major, including 1) data analysis for health, sport and exercise sciences, 2) exercise assessment, monitoring and prescription, and 3) exercise physiology and biomechanics. These foundations are then built on through dedicated 200- and 300-level papers in the Human Performance Science major.
