Certificate in Design
The study of Design combines an understanding of human needs and desires, forming creative solutions, prototyping and developing artifacts and evaluating their impact and effectiveness in society. It comprises a well-balanced combination of analytical, technological and creative abilities.
Looking for a short-term study option? A certificate course puts you on a one-year path to a qualification, or could even be the start of something bigger like a bachelors degree.
In this one-year qualification you will be introduced to a basic range of skills and knowledge in the diverse and exciting world of Design.
We encourage our students to reach beyond the boundaries of traditional design, and explore the potential of the ever-evolving digital environment.
You will develop knowledge in a broad range of industry standard software, while using the latest digital technology and you will have 24-hour access to our state of the art computer labs, equipped with the latest software and Mac computers.

Regulations
You need to complete 120 points (usually eight papers), and at least 90 of those points need to come from within the field of Design (see Subjects below).
Further Study
A certificate makes a good year of study, but if you find yourself wanting more you'll have the option of crediting all of your papers towards a three-year Bachelor of Design qualification.
