Certificate in Management
This one-year certificate is available to students who wish to gain an introductory qualification in management. It can even be the start of something bigger, like a bachelor's degree.
A Certificate in Management is similar to completing the first year of a bachelor's degree at university. It's a great way to gain an introductory qualification and can propel you towards future success.
A one-year Cert(Mgt) can include papers in any of these subjects:

To complete the Cert(Mgt), students must pass eight papers at Level 100 or above, including at least six papers in subjects listed within the field of Management, plus two elective papers in any subject offered at the University of Waikato. Please refer to the Regulations below.

To gain a strong grounding in Management, we recommend that you include at least some of the following 'Business Fundamentals' papers in your course:

- MRKTG101 Fundamentals of Successful Marketing

Regulations
To complete the Cert(Mgt), students must pass eight papers (120 points) at undergraduate level (Level 100 or above).
To complete the Cert(Mgt), students must pass eight papers (120 points) at undergraduate level (Level 100 or above).
This includes at least six papers (90 points) from subjects listed within the field of Management, plus two elective papers (30 points) in any subject.
All students must pass the compulsory paper STMGT101 Introduction to Management.
