Art directors

- design and create visual media
- direct people to create media
- manage operations of art departments and organisations
- guide visual direction of projects
- work with others to develop designs
- determine budgets and project needs
- present work to clients
- review art and design projects
- give creative feedback and make final decisions
How can you become an Art director?
You need experience to become an art director and a qualification may be useful.

- experience in similar work

- an advanced certificate or diploma in graphics and design or similar area
- examples of your work
If you're in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
