You usually need a qualification and experience to become a water and wastewater engineer.
You need
- a relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar area
You may need
- experience in similar work
- to join a professional organisation like Engineering New Zealand or Water New Zealand
If you're in school
You usually need NCEA Level 3 to do the study or training for this job.
